The Internal Communications Coordinator supports the U.S. Team and wider Fellowship by using tools creatively to keep everyone informed and invited to participate well in the team and ministry.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications plan for the U.S. team
- Explore and develop the use of communications tools (including SharePoint, TEAMs, email, web, and others)
- Develop strategies for key audiences including the U.S. Team, specific sub-teams, and the whole Fellowship
- Assist all U.S. Teams in producing quality internal communications:
- Help each team communicate effectively with the rest of the U.S. Team and the whole Fellowship
- Train team members to use internal communications tools effectively
- Manage the U.S. Team’s use of key communications tools:
(This list is current April 2026, but should be expected to develop over time)- U.S. Team SharePoint (within the team)
- U.S. Center SharePoint (communicating with the whole Fellowship)
- Teams and Channels in TEAMS
- Email lists and groups
- U.S. Team lists
- Regular updates to key audiences
- Work in shared spaces with other teams working on processes related to internal communications (especially IT and HR)
Qualifications
- Passion for East Asia and reaching its peoples for God’s glory
- Experience in working with multi-cultural teams and organizations preferred
- The ability to work within an international, interdenominational organization
- A teachable spirit and flexible attitude
- Excellent written communication skills
- Communications experience (audience awareness and strategy) preferred
- Experience with or willingness to learn advanced use of communications tools including SharePoint, TEAMs, email, etc.
Compensation
If not serving as a volunteer (unpaid), the financial remuneration for this position is “support-based.” This means that like most OMF (U.S.) personnel, the person who takes on this role will be asked to trust the Lord to provide the funds to cover the amount of the salary. This is done by forming a Partnership Team to pray for you and give towards the financial need. OMF will provide training about Partnership Development and a mentor to guide the process. The salary amount for this position is based on the ministry job requirements and the OMF U.S. salary guidelines. Contact us for more information.
